We've tried for years to switch leagues but an institutional hatred for Dr. Falwell has been a roadblock. Most of us anticipate our next move being to a I-A conference (either new or existing).

We need to dominate the one we are in before thinking about moving on. One step at a time.

Not true. But at the same time, if your conference gets an autobid, the weaker the better. At least in football.

I understand your point, but don't agree. If all you are looking to do is make the playoffs, then yes, it's better to have a weaker conference. But I don't want to settle for JUST making the playoffs. Until we do, that will be all I care about, but once we do, I will be looking for us to advance in those playoffs. The better your conference, the better the chance for you to host a game. Thus, better chance to win.

If you get to the playoffs and don't advance on account of it being an away game, your team is a phony. A weak conference doesn't affect how strong your team is. Although a home game would be nice for us as fans.

If we made the playoffs as a team not in the bottom four, we'd have a home game. We can offer more money to the NCAA than any other team in the country pretty much and the home games go to the highest bidder.

This is not true, if there were two teams who were very even, whoever is the home team has the obvious advantage. It is tough to win on the road, and even tougher in the playoffs. You can't call your team a phony.

What do you think we did this year, average scores for us were around 40-15 against the conference, if that isn't dominating i don't know what is

He means do it for several years, rather than just one.

Jon, in most cases, I would agree with you in the situation. However, playoff attendance in the first round is terrible because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Most places don't have their students back yet and students make up a ton of attendance.
