More wins and more fans would be nice.

I'm working on the fan part. I have a list of 14 things I'm presenting to Jeff Barber in the morning and about half of them are football attendance.

SJ... although we've had run ins... I do respect your efforts with the fans. I'm okay with disagreeing on things... just know that in all seriousness I for one do look forward to your work from the student side... go get 'em.

I found a picture of the proposed UC Davis stadium (30,000 seats at final buildout) and was looking for an appropriate place to post it, so this was the most conducive thread according to the title. This design is a close parallel to the topography of LU's stadium, the UC Davis design is a bit more open around the edges than I usually care for, but if the design were to wall in the stadium and incorporate the Jeffersonian-style artchitecture accents around the outside with a regal main entrance (Univ. of Richmond's proposed stadium has a nice entrance front--couldn't find the picture to post), LU could have one the best stadiums around.

Of course playing in something like the Yale Bowl would be fantastic...check out the second pic...what an atmosphere that must be:

I would vote for an open entrance to the stadium, I thought the columns where too large in the photo

Pinceteon Stadium has a nice look. It would look cool to have the Ops Center at the open end of the stadium and the hillside--by the scoreboard--filled in with seats.

Adopting a bit from their football stadium also...

Okay, I Change My Vote...I would love to see something like this for the future stadium expansion; with the columns at the top of the stadium being in the Jeffersonian style and the base the columns are sitting on that great looking red brick used with the Jeffersonian style. Since what is behind that is a concourse, they could put luxury boxes on the top of the concourse on each side and just go up and over the existing operations building and could even remodel that part that empties onto the field to have seats along the side and a tunnel underneath seating onto the field.

That Harvard stadium is sweet. I have been wanting to get up there to visit my nephew who is now a senior! Time flies. I don't know if we can get up there before football season is over but if we do I will let you know how that stadium looks in person. It is pretty nice in those pix though. I wouldn't mind that design for us.

One thing that will become readily apparant, once SJ and his hoards of rabble-rousing LUnatics get rolling:

More of Libe...I mean Harvard Stadium: (Looks like they orignally had it bowled in from back in the day circa 1906, and then built an operations style center in the one side...

the vantage point from the field, I liked the entire thing bowled in, seemed more intimidating and intimate, loses a bit of that with the end open...but I understand trying to modernize facilities, etc.

And just for kicks, that is some library:

True to JB's word, the grounds crew is right now adding trees around the scoreboard side of the stadium.

I'm kinda on the fence with this upgrade. I'm sure it'll look nice, but I'm not sure I like the idea of "closing" everything in. I liked it being open. But I guess that's more just personal preference.

They're still pretty small right now. You'll have time to get used to 'em.

I think we need to fix up the entrances. The main south gate is ok, but we need to beautify the entraces. Maybe putting up nicer gates, or fixing it up with brick entrances. Also, I do the visiting team will call tickets at the east gate, I could use a sheltered area for inclement weather... Same thing with the south gate, the pepsi trailer has to go. I've heard JB Mention that before too.

He's starting with the trees though, which is awesome to see. JB understands that appearance is key, which is awesome.

I know some people  that have been working on making boards with pictures of future projects that will be taking place on campus (expansions to Reber/Thomas, more cafe's, parkway on main entrance, snow park, amphitheater sp?, new bookstore and quite a few other things)

Is it similar to the "future demoss" picture, complete with grassy park and fountain in the front?

No, but are these in the chapel or have you just seen them?
