Impact of a Top-25 finish on recruiting:

If we finish strong, winning our last two games by 15+ points, take the BSC Championship, and finish in the Top 25 to what degree will that impact recruiting. We are currently ranked 27th, with many of the teams ahead of us likely to lose at least one more game, we are poised to finish in the top 20.

Thoughts?

my thought is we don't beat G-W by more than 15 points.

I think we win that game by 15+ - probably a 40-20 game.

Too many if's for me. I just want to burn the VMI bridge. After that I'll think about the implications of the GW game.

I agree with El Scorcho I hate when people skip games and look into the future you always got to focus on the team you play this week and go on from there.

it's a good thing we have no bearing on any of the games.

I agree with that. I do not have the focus required to be an athlete.

right. God forbid we look into the future at all.

especially in terms of what impact it could have on our program.

We will have plenty of time in the offseason to talk about this sort of thing.

Dallas, to answer your question, a Top-25 finish doesn't have too much of an impact on this year's recruiting class. The reason for that is half, if not most of the class has already decided they were coming to Liberty. However, that does not mean there's no effect on recruiting. A top 25 finish would have a huge impact on our Class of 09 recruits. These are the kids that all summer we'll be able to tell we were a top 25 team, etc. It will be a selling point to the 09 recruits much more than the 08 recruits. I hope that makes sense.

why do you watch the first two periods of a flyers game..they are the same as the third...horrible

Yeah I understand that, I'm talking in terms of the type of prospects we'll be able to land. Our class for this year is probably almost complete, with few exceptions who may sign last minute, but in terms of next season does this put us on a pedestal above our BSC foes in terms of recruiting and landing better players? If so, to what degree?

We're already on a pedestal because of our facilities and staff.
