LU Notebook: Rejuvenated Redd sparks Flames defense

Liberty coach Danny Rocco didn't expect linebacker Vince Redd to be "good" or "adequate" this season. He expected Redd to be dominant, which is only natural considering Redd's skill set. He's 6-foot-6 with the wingspan of a basketball power forward, one who can play defensive end or linebacker and spent time starting at Virginia.

After a hot start, Redd slowed down. But during the Flames' last two games, Redd has been closer to dominant than adequate. He's lined up both at linebacker and at defensive end, has intercepted passes in each game and had a key sack against Presbyterian last Saturday.
