Will Coastal come within 21 points? This isnt a predictions thread, I'm just curious to see some numbers of what yall honestly think

Not to mention 90% of the board members were spot on with the Presby predictions (how'd CCU fair against them, I never checked 8) )

We are certainly capable of a blowout. However, the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that games like this, when everyone doesn't expect Coastal to win, David Bennett motivates his players and they play like world beaters. Motivating is the best part of his coaching (and that comes directly from someone who played for him).

I would say around 7 to 10 point win......a blow out could happen...but for some reason i doubt it

No worries here. Our best game vs their best game, we win. Because we have a better team. If our guys come out flat with as much hype that coach has put on this game, apparently all season, then we have no heart. We dominate, but not blow out.

Where has Coach hyped this game all season, other than to say they're the champions? The hype for this team is coming out of the athletic department, not the FOC.

And the players are immune from that? It's not like we store them in the FOC basement and dust them off for game day. They hear the announcments, read the banners, and feel the atmosphere on campus. As for all season remark, The Langinator had a story about how this was highlited as a "red letter" game all season. Not to mention nobody on this team (save a few redshirt seniors if we even have any) has beaten Coastal. I think they would have to be bitten by zombies the night before the game not to be amped up for this game.

I'm not saying they're not hyped up. Many of the guys have been hyped about this game since last season ended. They didn't need the stuff out of Hancock to get up for this game. I was just questioning your "as much hype that coach has put on this game" statement and where it came from. I don't see where marking the conference champion on the schedule constitutes hyping up a game.

if coach marked this game wouldn't that be considered "hyping" the game?? honest question

To me, no. For example, my baseball team at home that I help out with, we have our schedules marked for McMichael because they won the conference last year. We don't sit around talking about that game, or trying to hype ourselves up over it. We know what they did, we know what we have to do to beat them, we want to beat them, but we're not hyping the game. I think there's a big difference between hyping a game and simply marking a big game.

I guess....i still think in a way its hyping a game....i am not saying its a bad thing...you should circle the date you play the defending champ...but to say its not even hyping it at all, i guess i just don't see how you can't consider it hyping it up at all....

like i said, i think its the right thing to do...even when the defending champ is having an off year, they are still defending champions until someone beats them....
