TerrapinTimes 10/17/07 wrote:"I'm just trying to broaden my options right now," Wagner said. "I've heard from Maryland probably more than anyone ... I'm just enjoying the process right now. Hopefully the offers will come. I might come back (to Maryland) for a game later this month."
Wagner, whose father threw the shot put at Illinois, is off to a strong start this season. He helped Chancellor to a 4-1 start and the team rushed for nearly 1,500 yards in the opening five games.
"I think my size, I'm pretty quick and I'm probably one of he strongest guys on the field at all times," Wagner said of his strengths. "I think that works to my advantage."
Wagner runs a 5.4 40-yard dash, bench presses 325 and squats 475 pounds. Though he will need to continue to get stronger, he has the frame to be a prototypical Maryland guard.

Fredericksburg (Va.) Chancellor 2009 offensive guard Dennis Wagner is receiving his share of interest from colleges. Who is taking a look at the 6-foot-3, 275-pounder and does he have any favorites?

"Virginia and North Carolina have come to my school to see how my season ended up," he said. "I'm hearing from a bunch of other schools now too like Virginia Tech, Maryland, Purdue, Syracuse, Connecticut and Stanford.
"I know NC State saw my film and they really liked it. They said they want to see me in person before offering. Tennessee, North Carolina and Clemson also received it and seem pretty impressed."
"I grew up a Virginia Tech fan," he said. "It'd be nice to go there, but it's not going to be a deciding factor.

Scout reports that he has offers from Elon & ODU and Rivals notes he has his "first DI offer" but you have to have a subscription to learn who it is and mine has run out.
