Absolutely breaks my heart is all I can say...I really can't put my feelings into words beyond that.

ok .

I didn't leave after all.

I just can't believe that the guys played their hearts out (#24, esp) and I truly believe the play calling let them down in the end.

Yes, failure to execute on BOTH sides of the ball did as well- but WHY abandon a rushing attack that they could not stop?

I'll just say it- the game coaching could be better at times

We give up 267 on the ground, 169 to one kid. He averaged 5.6 yards a carry. They have another average 5.7 a carry.

We gave up 226 yards in the air. Three kids posted 15+ yards per catch.

Rashad averaged 6.6 yards a carry and we abandon him in the 2nd half.

Rashad had 4 carries in the 3rd half, 3 carries in the 4th quarter. He had 7 carries in the second half. That's a joke.

Excuse me, my stats screwed up. Rashad had 8 carries 3rd quarter, only three in the fourth.

A total joke.

I have lost a lot of faith in our Coaching staff.

Horrible play calling, and no execution from our offense.

I have never been so ticked after a game.

WE HAD IT WON!

Rashad needed to run more and more and more.

We had the game.

Whatever.

I almost hope we lose to Presby. Might let these guys realize that they are not performing up to potential. That we cant just give up and hope that our talent wins the game.

I am done for the night.

I just get the feeling that somewhere- CCU's guys are laughing at us.

when will we learn how to win?

Just can't win close games and that has been going on for a long time. Brock not a clutch performer and you need that in a QB to win these types of games.

This is not the way to go into a bye week...I am a big Coach rocco fan but Im sorry, this is the sort of thing that we hoped to turn the corner from. If were going to win teh Big South Conference the sorts of decisions that you guys describe just cannot happen

Okay, I'm not done...

This had nothing to do with Brock. He didnt execute, sure, but he didnt crack under pressure. He just made the same mistakes he always does.

Coach needed to put him in a position to win!

Those throws across the middle worked all night. WHY GO AWAY FROM WHAT WORKS!!!!

RASHAD!! SHORT PASSES!!! MORE RASHAD!!!!!!

One last thing- thank GOD these losses are on the road.

Lose like this at HOME and that fickle LU crowd will stop coming out. You'll be back to the days of 3k in the seats.

at least being off campus, most of the kids won't realize how bad this one (and W/M, and Elon) was.

At least Elon pulled it out of their collective butts tonite- 'Nova POUNDED the Tribe. Now THAT one is a bad loss for us as well.

I agree. I even agreed before the game was over. Still wondering if I'm allowed to complain about passing and running now.

I said before That he seems to be a great head coach and recruiter, but none of them seem to have the playcalling right.

I hope the rest of you angry men will join me on the hotline Tuesday night for some answers!

Disagree. If he completes the passes, we win. We put the game on Brock's shoulders and loss. This is the first time that has happened where he did not put us in a position to win. He completed a nice pass that was called back but he still threw incompletions on the others.

Against Division I teams with scholarships, we have given up over 400 yards in every game and an average of 42 points per game.

But we should KNOW he will screw it up.

I think Brock just kept on doing what Brock does, and the game was called and didn't allow him to win.

Brock COULD have done better.

But he would have been playing out of character.

But we'll have to agree to disagree.

So how many folks are going brisge jumping after this one? I certainly feel like going myself after something this excruciating

I will have to applaud the effort of our team but I am so disappointed that we had a chance to beat a quality team and screwed it up as usual. This win would have erased the disappointment of the Elon debacle but it just wasn't meant to be. Not sure I could blame it all on Brock but that position is so important if we are going to take that next step up we need better than that. I will feel much better if Toledo can win some of their conference games from now on just to say we lost to a halfway descent team since I know that W & M sucks this year with the Villanova blowout.

I am glad I have a couple years of school left. I want to see Mike Brown in these situations.

And I am glad we won't be playing a FBS team next year.

Just my opinion. I listened to the whole game. Thought Brock did OK.

He completed all 2 of 3 passes on the last drive. One called back for holding, and one sounded like it was just dropped (but I wasn't at the game).

If there's no holding, or Bolden catches that other one, sounds like we're in their territory, and can then run into FG range and win.

I think that was the idea.

I thougth that Toledo's playcalling was sortof bad...how many times do you chase after the missed extra point? You know, they missed one other extra point, but they had illegal procedure, and rekicked it and made it. Crazy stuff.

I'm dissappointed...but not as dissappointed as after Elon...at least we competed with Toledo. I remember back a couple of years...the final was something like 49-3.

We've gone from bad to good to almost OK...it seems.

Okay, here's how I'm breaking it down. I just shared this with SJ...

I think that our offense has consistently produced enough points that it should be enough to win games. However, our defense is so terrible that it just doesn't happen. Then, when we're in the clutch, our offensive play calling falls apart and our QB's inconsistencies are magnified by quite a bit.

We scored enough to win at W&M and again tonight...except our defense didn't back us up. Then we're put in these clutch situations where we seem to have trouble with calls and we're forced to rely too heavily on Brock.

At least that's how I see it right now.

Against Division I teams with scholarships, Brock is:

W&M: 25-37-2 2 TD 203 yards
ELon: 17-31-1 0 TD 222 yards
Toledo: 10-19-0 1 TD 101 yards

Total: 52-87-3 3 TD 526 yards

59.7% passing, 1 TD, 1 INT, 175 yards per game
