A Sea Of Red

Gates open and all Flames Club functions begin at 5:00 on Saturday (9/29) before the 7:00 football kick-off against St. Francis PA. Our team will be looking to extend their home winning streak to five games, and we are asking everyone to be early, wear red, and be loud. Please be sure to join in on the "L-U" chant before the team takes the field, and to jump and scream when the 2001 Space Odyssey music is played!

As long as they don't have some dude running back and forth yelling at people and looking like an idiot, I'm ok with it.

Timeout, I do have a problem with one thing: The jumping. We're not Tech. We shouldn't try to be Tech. This is what they're known for. Also, we have a very large percentage of the fans that either won't or can't jump up and down, so it doesn't work unless you get the entire stands doing it. The L-U chant can work, I helped prove that at W&M (which was frickin awesome when everyone joined in) and it should work, and it's what we should be pushing, not jumping. If we can ever get the L-U chant going from side to side, I'll be the happiest person in the stadium.

Agreed that jumping is copying VT. But it is cool when they do it, so you can't blame them for wanting it.

No, I can't blame them, but I don't like our entire pregame being a copy of someone else.

Since when do you post on the weekends? I thought you were strictly 9-5 M-F??

plenty of schools jump.....not a big deal at all IMO.
