A Sea Of Red

Me and GMTM tried talking about this yesterday but I had to rush off to get to class so we couldn't really talk about it too much. I figured I'd make this thread just so we can talk about it and throw out ideas with everyone involved.

UVA plays on Saturday night at 7 against Pitt, and as far as I know, Smoothie is going to that game rather than the St. Francis game. If that's the case, we have to figure out what we're doing for this week. Smoothie and GMTM hold the most weight in this thread, but with it being Tuesday evening, I thought we'd need to go ahead and start talking about it.

Ill be at the dreaded Song of Solomon conference and Sarah's parental units are coming so Im not sure how much time Ill have. Leo is more than welcome to bring the quoits, because, well theyre still in his car.

I will be there, with Quoits.

not so fast jon....i will not be at UVA or LU this weekend due to a commitment that i cannot back out of saturday night. i have been busy this week and have not had time to think about the tailgating. GMTM has to broadcast the soccer match and then the tailgate show, so his time is very limited. i have no problem letting yall use my grill because it is easy to tote and use. GMTM and i have have all the food and accessories so if someone wants to take the ball this week and roll with it, then it would be great. i will tell you that i had a chair broken and when i got there the last itme, there was trash all over the place, and i had to pick it up. it takes a lot of time, money and effort to do this, and to have to pickup trash before and after the game before i could even packup was a bit disturbing. in any regard anyone who wants to help out and LEAD...let me kow. i will say that for homecoming we are thinking of a catered tailgate but we will need commitments.

GMTM had said you'd be at UVA and I wasn't gonna blame you for going to that game at all.


I'll do whatever I can during the day. The problem is, to get my seats, I've got to leave by 5:30 or so (which I hate) so someone else would have to be able to clean up, etc before the game actually starts. Post game I'm fine with helping whatever.

Let me clarify: I'll do whatever I can in setting up, staying there as long as possible, and all of that. I can't grill worth a crap so we'd need someone else to do that.

Hey I'll see you there. But it ends at 12 on Saturday I think. Plenty of time for tailgating after.

Men's tennis is at UVA, so I'll be missing out once again.

I'll be at the UVa-Pitt game in Charlottesville.

if all goes well from now until then i will be there with brittany and possibly her family.

I'll be there probably with my father in law and possibly MRS SCAR and her mom if they want to come out there.

Are we actually tailgating? Is anyone else going to step up? How are we doing this?

Yes, I am pretty sure I am coming in a car. What kind of question is that? Or did you gmtm again and mean to say when? Well I am not sure when yet but I do want to come in on Friday morning for the flames club luncheon but I may not be able to get away since my in-laws are here with us now. I may be able to get away but not sure yet....No cookies though, sorry.

I will be here, and willing to help, I am just not sure what "heading it up" will entail.

I cannot cook, but I am willing to be there to help get stuff ready, and to help clean stuff up, but I am not quite sure what else there is to do... or if I am able to do it.

You being there to help set up and clean up is great. We just need people to step up and volunteer to take Smoothie's spot of main cook for a day.

Main cook? Smoothie's got a title now?

He's had it since the first time we ever tailgated.

I will be in Las Vegas, and will try to find a place to put $100.00 on the game, just don't know on who yet.
