Question about Zach Terrell?

Why is he not playing? Does anyone have any insight as to what the deal is with him?

Everytime he's in the game, the kid produces and imo having Rashad back adds another dimension to the office. Zach, is to good of a player to ride the pine and needs to be on the field at all times whether it's at QB, RB, slot, etc. Just makes no sense to have a player who is this talented and would be a extra weapon on offense just sit on the bench.

Any information given is greatly appreciated since at this point I'm confused. Thanks in advance and go LU!

This is a question that all of us are puzzled by. Zach is a special talent and the fact that he has been a near non-factor in two straight games despite no apparent injury has left most of us perplexed. But then again we are not all fully aware of the circumstances behind the scenes.

Hopefully we can find a way to get Zach the ball this week and get the offense back in gear.

Well, this doesn't fully explain it, but he is technically a running back. And saturday, we were certainly in no position to be running the ball. The week before, we may have just been trying to get Rashad in a groove and up to speed. Although I certainly wouldn't mind seeing him in the slot when we're not using a back. That just seems obvious.

You're right we had no shot at establishing a run game--but they were dropping 5-6 guys in coverage every play and sending everyone else after Brock. It would have been a perfect game to have Zach out of the slot as a safety for Brock.

I couldn't for the life of me understand why we didn't send our backs in the flat. They were shooting up the field every time and set us up perfect for that little screen play. That opens up a lot of things in the middle of the field and even gives us a shot at 1-1 coverage.

Why not use him in the slot when he's not lined up at RB? It's just a surprise that he isn't playing much...total surprise.

ELON, N.C. -- Zach Terrell gave Liberty its first touchdown Saturday at Elon, scoring from two yards out to cut the Phoenix's lead to 28-7.

But other than that, the Big South's leading rusher was hardly on the field, a product of the Flames falling behind early again. Terrell had just four carries for three yards.

Basically, Zach Terrell needs to be on the field.

This is my first post on this site and I think it is cool that this site was started. Thanks for having me. I like this question and I have been wondering this same question as well. I go to the Flames Club luncheons and I am going tomorrow as well, and Coach Rocco is speaking at this luncheon and he answers questions at the end of his presentation, tomorrow I will ask him this question. I will be at the game on Saturday as well we tailgate in spot 14 and 13 if anyone wants to stop by and say hi. We also sit in the red chair backs row S seats 17-24. I wear an LU jersey #51 (Manny Rojas) and carry my future linebacker (my 3 month old son) in a carrying pouch in which he watches the game and does not cry. He is Flames Fan # 6.

If Brock cannot hit them on the flat maybe that is an issue that needs discussion as well????

I saw you at the first game. You sit right near scar and smoothie. My kid never would stay in one of those pouches. She liked to look around too much.

I would love the hats but I cannot find your email.

I asked the question and got some good answers. However because of spies in the midst trained by the New England Patriots I cannot give the answerd in a post. I will be tailgating tomorrow in spots 13 & 14 starting at around 3:00pm I will be happy to discuss the answers from Coach Rocco. I will just say this the topic is not just alive on this post and either is my wonderments on Brock.
