Send him on a blitz up the middle or cover their best recieving weapon. Zone has killed us all last year and last night, do we not have the athletes to man up? I think we would.... although Hicks would face guard all game so maybe scratch that.I agree, i was puzzled why he kept picking up the 4th wideout or the motion reciever who everyone in the place knew wasn't going to get the ball. W&M offensive sets took him out of the game in my opinion and i didn't see much adjustment to get him more involved.

Or are you referring to what you've seen from him in practice? He does not have to be on the move to get the ball out, as I've seen him complete MANY 40-50+ yard passes while on the run and when dropping back. Last year, he worked out of the shotgun formation quite a bit to take advantage of his arm and athleticism. He's a dual threat QB and is a very accurate passer with good decision making skills. Granted, the last game I've seen him in was a high school game, so the competition in college is much tougher, but the foundation is definitely there to develop him into an even better player.
Brown, like Terrell is not drop back passer, but has to be on the move to get the ball out. Let him redshirt, so we can have him for 5 years.

And the fact is...I'm sure the coaches would want to utilize his speed by getting him outside often. My point is - he's a much different type of player than Brock and the offense would have to make adjustments. Can they - absolutely, but I would rather have us do it in the spring and against DII schools than in the middle of this season. And I agree with Big smooth - Love him or hate him - Brook is the man for another year and a half. We have too much invested.prototype wrote:What is the basis for your comment? I agree with you that redshirting him is the best thing right now, so that he can get bigger, stronger, and faster. Hopefully when it's time, he'll be able to help out the team in a positive way.
