Where are you BJ?
Liberty 27 W&M 21
The key for us is ball control and our defense. I think our defense will surprise many this week.

I'm gonna say 28-17 Liberty
And Wynton will return a punt for a touchdown.

20-16 Liberty.

31 - 27 WM
This prediction is based on Marriner (TB) not playing and Nicholaus (WR) playing.

31-24, LU wins.
this is assuming wynton runs one back, vince injures someone, rashad tractors over a few guys, and we hit a decently long field-goal.

LU 27-13. The ground game gets a boost from Rashaad and Eddie and keeps William and Mary's pass attack in check. The pressure is on us this year more than W & M as opposed to in the past. We will respond and we will prevail.

24-21 LU. Running Game opens up the passing attack, receivers and QB get on the same page and we throw for 200yds and 2 touchdowns.

35-14, Flames.

37-30 LU. I just made those numbers up, but i think it will be a high score with LU on top

38-34, LU....they will not stop our running game.

Hey I did it the one week to ease things for newflame...
anyway, I think this one is gonna be close, but LU makes its first statement to the FCS committee with this one
38-35 LU (this one could go to overtime)

23-3 LU Close game throughout and we get a couple of good breaks at then end to make the game look more lopsided than it really was. CAA fans make fun of w&m for losing to us, and we worry about Brock because he over threw a couple of guys in the 1st half.

I think you guys are giving way to much credit to W&M's D. They couldn't stop a concrete block.
Liberty 54
W&M 27
Jennings and Terrell both run for over 100 yards. Brock breaks out of his funk and throws for 200 yards and 2 scores - get another one rushing.
Boldin gets into the mix and runs back a kickoff.
Jackson has a relatively quiet game with only 4 catches for 56 yards.
Defense -
Redd gets 5 or 6 tackles and 1 sack and 1 forced fumble, but the real hero is Dickerson - he plays his best game 12 tackles 3 breakups and 1 sack.
Kicking Game - struggles here. Misses an easy one early, but hits a 37 yard kick and another over 40. Misses one extra point.

Too much credit to our offense. We haven't scored over 40 in 4 years. Jennings probably starts slow and picks it up as the game goes on.

Devil's Advocate time
27-24 W&M

LU 38- WM 17
This prediction is based on Marriner (TB) not playing and Nicholaus (WR) playing, but they probably wouldnt have made a difference anyways

TD - That's where you are wrong. Jennings will start fast - he has some pent up anger to release and those little W&M are going to pay the price. The Pilgrims will be so determined to stop the run that Smith will finally have someone to feast on.

Vince Redd eats half of Zable Stadium for dinner before winning the War on Terror by simply snapping his fingers in Williamsburg. LU has to forfeit.

I find it funny that some of you think you will beat WM on the road worse than you beat up on two DII school's at home. WM gave up 49 points to what IMO is the best back in IAA and a top ten overall offense in IAA. Alot of teams will struggle to stop Omar Cuff this year as long as he stays healthy. WM may lose this game, but anybody that thinks we'll give up more than 35 points to your offense is out of touch with reality IMO.

We've just been getting the kinks worked out the last 2 weeks. Also, we did sit on 2 of our better offensive players. That can set you back a bit. I guess we'll see how you guys do without a couple of yours this weekend.

I don't think we score that much either- against my better judgement I'm going w/ 31-21; 'da FLAMZ

Does everybody think our defense stinks all of the sudden or are we being nice to our Tribe visitors?

neither- I watched us give up 2 TD's each to 2 poor D II schools though. (sorry for the gratuitous use of "2", "two", and "to" homonyms)
and for some reason- W&M has been to FB as Longwood is to MBB (lately, anyway)
after last season's debacle- I'm convinced nothing is a given when we face the Tribe.
just not confident after the opening games- Brock, make me a believer, baby!
