Does the College of William & Mary have its own version of Flamefans.com (aka, message board)?
If so, I'd like a link to find out what they are saying about LU. Kaplan, any help?

They have the CAAZone which sucks. It used to be great.

There's been like 5 posts about us by W&M fans the entire week.

Super, they are probably spending more time in the library and the c-lab over there in Williamsburg.

what happened to CAA zone anyway? I remember going there last year and it was some good reading.

They changed it up and it went to crap.


Prof. Cider, you're right. W&M students and fans are way too intelligent to spend time with people who lack their intelligence.

Super, well the LU Quiz Bowl team did beat the Tribe last year by 120 points, and that was even before we had Fumble. That is to say, we have plenty of intelligent people here as well--who also love their message board reading & writing.

But we aren't nearly as smart as William and Mary.

Don't flatter yourself, LU has barely been mentioned on our boards prior to this week. Personally, I don't care how many transfers LU takes as long as their academically eligible per NCAA rules. Superjon, I realize your trying to spice things up or maybe you have something against WM, but why do you insist on stirring up controversy where there really is none?? WM fans are actually a pretty easy bunch to get along with and we realize LU is up and coming and no longer a sure win on our schedule. I know you like playing the "respect" card, but give it a rest.

Because I know for a fact that a W&M fan has e-mailed the Lynchburg newspaper whining about transfers. He told me himself.

I'm sure the "whining" or comments from others regarding LU's transfers come from folks who dont really know the whole story around these athletes. The story being that, LU isn't necessarily going out soliciting players from the bigger schools, but these players are, in fact, players who have either played for Rocco or were recruited by him while he was at UVA. They come to LU to play for him. Apparently, he's THE MAN.

I have no problem with incoming transfers as long as no rules are broken regarding academic eligibility. Besides after the horrible season we had 2 years ago we badly needed a quik fix to get us to a competitve level. No trouble has been stirred up here, just stating the facts.

That has been a proving way of building a good I-AA program. My problem is transfers that get special favors and coaches who don't make them follow the rules. Thankfully, we don't have that around here....any more.

I am not aware of any problems but I am not in Lynchburg either. Some of the ones who have transfered or were rumored to be coming had some disciplinary issues but maybe that is why those guys are not here in the first place.

Which we've talked about extensively in other threads. There has been nothing of the sort since any of them got here, and in fact, at least one of them has gone to the extreme in the other direction.

Why did Vince Redd get kicked off UVa?

I thought it was drugs but the articles I looked at last night hinted it was not.

I am unsure.

It's my understanding that he ripped a QB's head off with his bare hands in practice. The "sleeves" that he always wears are actually blood stained skin that serve as a reminder of that incident. He was known as Vince Smith until that fateful day.

The rumor was he smoked pot but you know how rumors go sometimes. The above might be more believable.

I don't think the reason was ever publicized for Vince. They just said it was for a violation of team policy, however, I believe there was another player that got kicked off at the same time for drugs...

Wasn't the other guy Chris Johnson. I thought that they got kicked off of the team and were rumored to be transfering to Grambing U.
