I was checking LC's student life calendar to see if they had a concert this semester and saw that on November 10th (VMI) they have an LU Football Game hosted by their Student Activities Board. Anyone have any clue what this means?

Can you post a link? I could not find it. That is about the time of their annual TURKEY BOWL...an all-day intramural flag football tournament.

The Turkey Bowl is the 17th.

Thanks. Looks like one of the religious organizations has an outing planned to go to an LU football game.
SAB = Religious/Spiritual Life

I hope the LU students will welcome the support from the cross-town school students...I think that is something that is envisioned by Caner's Weds campus church, too.

Shoot, if I know they're coming, I'll let em tailgate with me and stay on the front row if they want.

Well...I think you are just the one to go over the the (SAB Religious/Spiritual Life) office and leave some fliers for the tailgate and the seat offer. I bet THAT type of witnessing would be welcome over there.

LC students don't have a team to support on Saturdays unless they go to VT or UVA. I'd love for them to come over to LU and get into the game. If we could work something out with them where LC students get in cheaper than ticket price, I'd love it. I think there should be more done between the two schools anyways. We're all the same age, but yet there's barely any interaction between the two schools.

Great idea! I know for a fact the 2 admins. worked together for their acreditation renewal process. Why don't you float the discount thing to someone at LU with all your influence.

I have influence? I'm just some fat kid that goes to a lot of games.

I agree with this, SJ, wholeheartedly. Sometimes just being friendly and establishing some friendships is okay...not every time does a spiritual billy club have to be wielded. Some cross-pollination between the schools would be a good thing IMHO.

SAB = Student Activities Board, which is not religious/spiritual life. It's just a general student activities group.

Maybe LC can try to get LU kids to come to lacrosse games lol!! If you want to see some good lacrosse around here it's either LC, Roanoke college, hampden-sydney college, washington & lee university, or UVA - and all of the other ones are over an hour away.

Why women's? I think women's lax is far inferior to the men's version. Plus our men's team is right in the top 10-15 every year, women's is middle of the pack in the conference (and ODAC women's lacrosse is nothing special aside from Washington & Lee)

or field hockey and volleyball teams are pretty hot though, cross country has quite a few lookers this year, soccer is normally pretty good but they graduated a lot of good looking ones and brought in a bunch of rough looking freshman.
