No, we beat Norfolk St in terms of % capacity. We were fourth in the country in that this week.

whats amazing is schools drawing 12k and the fact that it represents only 20-30% stadium capacity!
that's gotta be depressing- and something we need to be careful about.

Exhibit A as to why we're nowhere near in need of stadium expansion.

I didn't want to give you credit, egomaniac- but you're right on this one.
like we said- 2 additional sections (one on each end, maintaining the curve) on both sides of the 'Bill, then seats in one endzone (or bowl out the far end) accompanied by a second deck.
Either order would be ok- just might be easier to add sections first.
incremental growth in size that way.
SMOOTHIE will cut the check, I'm sure.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if I'm playing/coaching, I'd much rather play in front of 16,000 in a 12,000 seat stadium than play in front of 16,000 in a 25,000 seat stadium. One has a ton of energy, the other feels half empty.

I feel sorry for Butler: 2,189 in a 19,000 seat stadium

Others like that:
Tennessee St - 23,400 in a 67,500 stadium.
Jackson St - 12,667 in a 62,512 stadium.
UTC - 7544 in a 20,668 stadium.

SJ you make a good point about playing in a half empty stadium but how long would we go averaging 15000-16000 fans before we upgraded our stadium?

App's been going a while averaging 21-22k in a 16k seat stadium. It seems to work for them. It's the toughest place to play in FCS football (and possibly all of college football).
