Tickets vs. TC

Hi there, i am a Tusculum fan wanting a little info on tickets for the game this weekend. I was wanting to know if i could order tickets in advance or if i could buy them at the gate. I know there will probably be a ton of fans there since it is your season opener. Do you think it will be a sell out? How much are some good seats going to set me back?

Liberty will never sell out. We'll continue selling tickets until no one wants them anymore. There really isn't a bad seat in the entire stadium. You could order them this week (434-582-SEAT) or just wait and get them on game day. Either way works.

Welcome to the board, The Specialist.

As SJ mentioned we have plenty of space beyond our listed seating capacity of 12k. We had over 15k last year for homecoming and it still wasn't too crowded. Glad to hear we'll have some TC folks making the trip to Lynchburg.

Oh there's a ton of hotels (ok, not a ton, but quite a few). There's a Wingate and Extended Stay basically on campus, plus a Holiday Inn Express and a few others.

Specialist, if you are looking for economy, don't do the Wingate; instead, try Super 8 or Days Inn, both near campus.

I've used Holiday Inn Express several times with very good results- pretty cheap, too.

less than 100 bucks/nite as I recall

As has been mentioned, there are quite a few options for you to choose from in regard to lodging. And dining should be no problem as well.

Being in Houston I admit I envy you being there in Lynchburg for the game. I still have two months to go before I get back to the mountain. Have a great time.

Not in Richmond. Before I had an apt here and when I still had a house in Lynchburg, when I had to work in Richmond, the hotels were not that great in some places and Holiday Inn was on my do not stay again list. A couple of them anyway. It really depends on the management of the hotel and how well it is run. Most places in Lynchburg are clean and well kept. You have several choices as has already been said a few times.

Another cheap hotel across the street from campus is Sleep Inn (next to Applebee's).

Speaking of tickets...

My season tickets are still MIA. Think I'll have to check on that today.

I've stayed at the Extenday Stay mentioned, and will never stay there again for what it's worth. Super 8 should be a good bet. I got a reservation there for homecoming for 70 bucks.

whats wrong about the Extended Stay hotel?

I just didn't care for it. They didn't seem to do anything out of their way to serve you. They also allow dogs and cats to pretty much roam free on hotel property. I'm fine with pets staying in the same hotel as me, but most have a dog walkway or something where they use the restroom in one place rather than all around the parking lot.
