Guilty as charged but hey, Manny is true red white and blue all the way. He was never anything else, was a LU all his college life AND he's the reason why the team re-gained their team spirit. He stepped up to the plate when everyone seemed to be in the depths of despair. He rallied everyone together and gave us hope!!!! More of a reason to win the most prestigious award, the Sparky!!

There can be more of a case made for Larry than Manny. Larry is the Big South all-time leading scorer. Liberty's all time D-1 leading scorer. Noone can argue against Josh though (other than it's track).

OK, I've been holding this in all day until my bald head is about to explode. Now Manny is tied with Larry Blair for the lead. Manny was not even the best Linebacker on his team in my opinion. O now I've done it. I'm going to be banned now. I loved sharing my opinions on here, and been nice knowing you all.

Give it to Josh or the whole thing is a farce! I hate polls and popularity contests. It's supposed to be the BEST male athlethe, not the nicest or the most inspiring or whatever.

Don't get me wrong Manny was good at what he did, but he's not the best male athlete from last year.

i'm gnna have to concede to josh for my vote. Manny well i love the guy he decked me in dorm linebacker my freshman year. and he was and is great at what he does. but that 3:57 mile just amazes me. as for larry. well he was amazing as well but reggie williams(assuming he doesn't enter the draft or has already or gets injured) is on course to break larry's record. he was still amazing and i hope he makes it into the pros. i'm not really causght up on whats going on with him lately. so yea. josh= should be winner of sparky. but lets face it. is anyone really going to be proud of an award whos name is a spoof of ESPN's ESPY's? Knuckle said it best its just a popularity contest.

I had such hope when the Sparkys were announced. Oh Well.
