Not much love for any Flames on Chuck Burton's All-Anonymous Team. But Eddie makes the list:
CSN Diary: The All-Anonymous Team
Chuck Burton, CSN Columnist

Whenever we release our preseason All-America team, it always makes me think a little bit. A lot of those names don't exactly surprise: QB Ricky Santos, last year's Walter Payton Award winner. RB Kevin Richardson, leading rusher on last year's national championship team, was another “shocker”

But what good players don't have the spotlight squarely on them before a single down is played in the 2007 season? What sort of “anonymous” players might we find in 2007 that could have a surprising impact on the FCS landscape this year? The sort of players that haven't shown up on all the all-America teams, but could be those type of players that break out and are on those all-league and all-American teams by year's end?

I'm very glad you asked. Here are my candidates for the 2007 “All-Anonymous” team – athletes that you may just hear about by the time the season is over.
OL Eddie Pingis, Liberty. Hard to believe this 6'8, 295 lb behemoth could be overlooked, but this bookend tackle was probably the best in the Big South last year with only one sack allowed. He'll be looking to make his mark on the Flames this year, his senior season.
Others of interest to us that made the list:

QB Sean Schaefer - Towson
WR Terrell Hudgins - Elon
DE Adrien Grady - CCU

There may have been other Flames worthy of consideration, but considering the fact that there are only 38 on the list, having one is about all that could be expected. I just looked at it quickly, but I only saw 2 schools that had multiple players; Wofford and Delaware State with 2 each.

Wofford had three and that's after the main All-American teams have been picked over. But i see your point.

It's one thing for us to get pre-season accolades in teh big south, but the nation is a complete different story. We aren't going to get much, if any, respect nationally until we do something on the field.
QB Competition

We have some strong points (not many) but overall […]

Bowling Green

We need to play more physical. Lost that with JSU […]

Charlie Kirk

But all the comments are that he wasn't a leftist.[…]

The poor guy didn’t make it very long. :)
