Tight ends Chris Luck, Richard Thom and Corey Rasberry are all seniors, which would leave Rocco with a void at the position next season.

So he's talked to Rasberry about redshirting this year, and Rasberry has been receptive to the idea.

"Corey's a good player," Rocco said. "He'll do whatever Coach Rocco thinks is best for this football team. At least that's what he said to me."

Fullback Chris Stokes will also see some time at a kind of hybrid tight-end position Rocco calls the "U." Stokes, another senior, could add some beef to the Flames' outside blocking schemes.

"Even though he's a fullback, he's being trained to play some of the backside tight end formations," Rocco said.
