Maybe it was the tenderness in Chris Luck's left knee, the one he hurt during the final agonizing minutes of the 2005 season. Or maybe it just took some time to adjust to the blocking schemes in Danny Rocco's offense.
Either way, it was clear that Luck wasn't himself in 2006. After breaking out with 24 receptions for 239 yards and a touchdown as a sophomore, the Liberty University tight end's production slumped last year.
