If Virginia Tech offers, would Thorpe consider committing?

"I know if Virginia Tech offers me then in the next two weeks Virginia would and so on," he said. "I think I'd hold off and wait it out for awhile."

At this time, the No. 29 prospect in the Commonwealth claims there are no leaders for his services.

4.66 40? That's horrible for a D-back...and not all that swift for a LB in the 3-4.

That's auto timed and right now he's a quarterback.

Never ever ever EVER believe it when somebody says they ran anything under a 4.4. Auto-timing is far more accurate and generally adds about .2 to the hand-timed (aka, bullcrap) 40.

Rivals.com wrote:"I've got offers from Duke, Eastern Michigan, Richmond, JMU and Liberty," he stated. "I'm in contact with Virginia, Virginia Tech, Marshall, Connecticut and Rutgers.

"Basically all of them are saying the same thing. The tell me to let the season play out and the recruiting will take care of itself. I think they all want to see film so they can evaluate me."

Despite the offers, Thorpe maintains there are no leaders for his services at this time.
