LB Evan Rose (6-2 230) of Myrtle Beach attended USC's spring game and is getting a long look from the Gamecocks. "USC is heavy on him," said is coach Scott Earley. "I think they are very interested but they haven't offered yet." USC recruiter Steve Spurrier Jr. will visit Myrtle Beach High School Monday. Rose will visit Georgia Southern Saturday. He is also getting interest from Coastal Carolina, Penn State, Maryland and Virginia. Last season Rose made 158 tackles with 33 for losses.

He's already picked up a scholarship offer from Division II Newberry College in South Carolina, but is hoping that he might be able to play Division I football.

"I kind of want to go D-I first," Rose said. "That's my first choice of options."

Plenty of schools have come calling, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Liberty and Georgia Southern.

well excuse me for being curious...with signing day approaching I figured maybe we could get some updates on some of these guys as best as possible. I mean if we started discussions on these guys the least that could happen is an update or something
