We definitely have a good chance at getting Ryan seeing that his dad is Campus Pastor Rob Jackson....I haven't seen Ryan play yet but he has done very well as a heavyweight wrestler on the wrestling team...I am interested to see where Ryan goes..
Unless Ryan's had a serious change of heart in the last year or so, I think the chances of him ending up at Liberty are very, very small. Last resort small.
"Virginia Tech has been talking to me along with Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Colorado. That's most of who is interested," he said. "Liberty is currently the only school that has offered. Maryland appears to be the next closest to offering."
Almost all of the schools showing interest are waiting until this season to decide on offering.
"They all seem highly interested and are saying send film of my first few games," he said. "A lot of them think I look very strong on tape, but want to take a closer look at me since they don't know about my competition."
This could be very interesting on a lot of levels when it's all said and done

Rivals wrote:Defensive tackle Ryan Jackson out of Forest (Va.) Brookville School continues to hold one offer from Liberty. The 6-foot-3, 287-pounder has just sent out film to over a half dozen schools in hopes of gaining more offers.
"I just sent tape to Virginia, Virginia Tech, NC State, UNC, Georgia, Florida State, VMI and JMU," he said. "I've talked to some of the coaches and I guess we'll just see what happens. All of them are waiting to see the film."

Ryan Jackson is 6"4........Unfortunately you will not get to see this All-State Lineman against other good Seminole Linemen. He is out for the season with a torn ACL, MCL, and Meniscus.(Injured in the William Byrd Game). He travels back to UVA next week to confirm and consult with his Orthopaedic Surgeon. He potentially is out for wrestling as well (All-State)...This is a devastating blow his Senior Year......I guess you Ryan haters will not get a chance to see one of the best lineman show off his All-State skills! Good Luck Ryan........we wish you the best and a speedy recovery!

Someone correct me if im wrong but wasnt this basically the Daunte Culpepper injury? If so he has a year to recover and another to redshirt i would think. Id be suprised if some of the larger schools were still after him now.
I know LU has still left their offer on the table. The recovery time from the surgery is six months. This puts him out for the wrestling season as well (he was a state champion last year in hvyweight). Hargrave for a year may be a good option? Poor thing. Its sad.
