Jason Robinson, football coach at Heritage, said Lawrence Turner has received a scholarship offer from Norfolk State. Turner (6-2, 220) has only played one year of high school football after playing basketball. Robinson said Liberty, Old Dominion, Richmond and Navy are also interested in Turner.

OwlScoop.com has learned that Lawrence Turner, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker from Heritage High School in Newport News, Va., is close to giving Golden and the Owls a verbal commitment. Heritage head coach Jason Robinson confirmed with OwlScoop.com that Turner is expected to commit soon and hopes to visit Temple's campus and meet with the coaches once the season starts.
