Question, what was the poll Gregg Roberts was talking about where we are Top 25? I didnt get to hear Gregg but someone told me that he was drooling all over Rocco for what he's done in the last few years, its nice to get that kind of love.

So nobody really takes that poll serious? That's to bad, I would have liked that to come from a serious publication.

it's all opinion and it's a pre-season poll. it is nice to get a mention though. yes greg roberts loves danny rocco as he has had him on his show a few times. the interviews have been very good.

It's a serious publication, but their preview didn't even have a SoCon preview.


Let us win some games and deserve to be ranked. We all feel that we have the team to be ranked, but we need to win some games first.

I agree with others, it's nice to get preseason love, but it only matters what you do during the season.

Yes, we definitely need to win some games...in addition to not losing to our D-II opponents this season (one problem that-thankfully-we have not had in over a decade), winning at W&M will definitely help to prove a lot.

LOL, I didnt put this sentence in there until I was done reading and I thought I'd come across as a Roberts fan....at that point I added this sentence

Why would a win over a 3-win team from 06 who's likely to be worse this year prove a lot?

Nationally, it wouldn't prove much of anything other than we beat a team that we scheduled.
For us, it would prove that we can beat them -- which we've never done -- , that we can win on the road out of conference -- which we've done exactly twice since 1997 (one of which was this past year vs. SSU) , and, most of all for our juniors and seniors, that we can forget about the embarassment of the 56-0 debacle on that same field in '05.

Oh, I knew what it'd mean for us. I was just talking about in the polls.
