As our boys are doing what they need to do to get ready for the championship run, let us not forget our responsibility to prepare for tailgate season. We need to refine our gameplan/menu: recipies for proper balance of flavor in our sauce, special team packages like potato salad, our air attack via baked beans, and our goal line package of pecan, apple, cherry pie, etc. I think if we ask accuracy from our teams kicking game, the flamefan.com hillbilly golf team needs to be refining their skills throughout the summer, as this part of our tailgating game was not up to par. Equipment needs to be upgraded; no more broken beach furniture leaning up against a tree (my issue at the spring tailgate). Teamwork between the Steve Ray Lloyd Camp, the Flamefan.com tent, the Buckeye Flames, the coaches families, and the Flame Student Section needs to be automatic, as with any veteran squad.
I propose a goal for our upcoming tailgating season: Good to Great! I challenge all of you: will we be the Big South Championship Tailgators in 2007? Are you willing to give what it takes?
