Thank you LU Academics

Apparently our academic community loves football. Why you ask?
For the first time, LU is giving a fall break next year. That break just so happens to fall on the same week where we have our longest road trip for football.
Classes end October 3rd (Wednesday) and we get Thursday and Friday off. This gives us more time to drive to Toledo and back.
JDub, Bryson, time to start planning since it's official.

thank your jerry!

If you are baseball fans, there used to be a pretty cool Ohio Baseball Hall of Fame right next door to the old stadium where the Mudhens played. I have no idea if it still exists. But it was cool 15 years ago.

Bryson, we can get hotels cheap. I don't mind staying at a piece of crap.

i'll stay at a piece of crap hotel as long as it's physically possible to take a crap. oh yeah... and i don't want stuff crawling on me while i sleep. that's my only 2 requirements.
baseball hall of fame sounds pretty sweet. i've been to the hall of fame in cooperstown, ny, and it was awesome. maybe we should look into that.

Cedar Point...HANDS DOWN...the best amusment park in the country. World Class roller coasters. It is worth the trip to ride Millenium Force and Top Thrill Dragster ALONE!
Year after year, they have multiple coasters in the top 10. IF you ever get the chance, and enjoy roller coasters you owe it to your self to go.
Ask Haize about Friar Tucks Fries.

Is Thanksgiving a full week next year, too? The reason I ask is b/c, back in the day, LU used to give a 3-day fall break in mid-October but Thanksgiving break was also only 3 days.

according to the '07-'08 Course Catalog, we will have off November 16-November 26 for Thanksgiving. this may not have been updated since the fall break has been addded, but this was all i could find.

SJ, when I first read the title of this thread, I thought that some of our players had been suspended for academic reasons.

Agreed on the roller coasters! You can go and spend an entire day just on coasters. You never have to bother with any of the dinky other rides/attractions like at smaller parks.

I'm not a huge roller coaster fan. I'm petrified of heights.
Lib, we get a week for Thanksgiving and the fall break.
TDD, the wife's gonna let you get away for a few days?

Not sure how far Columbus is from Toledo, but a new airline is offering $10 tickets for one-way flights. One of the routes is in between Richmond and Columbus.
