It looks like one redshirt freshman will be out for the year, Antonia Tassara. Not sure if he is just missing spring drills or the whole 2007 season. Not sure if this changes anything for the O-Line

Here is Chris' preview from the morning fishwrap:
Five questions facing Liberty in spring football practice

By Chris Lang
Lynchburg News & Advance
March 23, 2007

Danny Rocco's first spring as Liberty's football coach was a month-long cram session.

He had to teach a new playbook, familiarize himself with athletes he had never seen play live and install a new defensive scheme.

It wasn't an easy task.

With Sene, Godsil, Pinigis, and some of the transfers, I wouldn't think it changes too much. It's just spring ball. I know it's great experience, but health for August is more important.

Thank you! I don't know too much about this guy but he is huge (6' 8" 310 lbs) and from what I read he looks like a descent prospect. Too bad for the injury and I hope that he recovers in time for the 07 season.

Are the practices open to the public this year like last year?

Its actually more than a torn pec he pretty much tore that as well as the muscle next to it connecting to his arm as well as part? of his bicep Anyway it looked really nasty but he had surgery and definitely wont be back this year.

practice was pretty good today. i liked what i saw out of new guys like kent and vince, and the O-Line is HUGE .

our running game with zach and rashad is right where it left off.

After practice was over, i heard coach rocco say to the team that at this point last year they are lightyears better now than they were then.

I went to practice and toured the FOC with a FF student (friendly friday). What I was most interested in was watching JB sit several rows in front of me talking on his cell phone the whole time. I just knew he was probably talking to prospective MBB coaches, talking salary and benefits and pools and church attendance, but I couldn't hear a word he was saying (but at least I saw McKay sitting with JB in Convo earlier, though Ritchie didn't come to our football practice).

about chris' article: i thought that danny broggin looked alright. he did a pretty good job while he was on the second team. i kept thinking to myself, who is # 12 he's going to be pretty good in the future.

Kent's little celebration was pretty funny. i like his swagger and it's gonna be pretty fun to watch him play D in Wynton all spring.

I'm guessing you must be a math teach when you don't have a whistle around your neck, madmat.

Can anybody remember a time when the O-line has been this much of a strength? You we are big, strong & battle-tested.
