The weight room was supposed to be done by now according to what was said last summer. How is it shaping up? How does it compare with what we already have?

According to my source, they should be training in the FOC when they return from Christmas break on Jan 21. I saw the room empty this fall, and it is huge, on the lower level. I believe there will be room enough to do agility and plyometric workouts inside, and the access to the field turf is just down the hall. Nice set up for Coach Bill and the boys.

Thank you for the update. I thought that the turf area for practice drills was supposed to end up being the player lounge instead due to the concern for safety with the posts and all and possiblility of guys running into them. Maybe they changed their minds.

I think he meant the turf on the field. We aren't having an indoor field.

Okay! That clears things up a bit. Thanks!

The weight room was always intended, for practical reasons, as the last thing to be finished. The room itself is ready, by which I mean the flooring is down, the paint is up, the lights are on and the mirrors are on the walls. What we're waiting on right now is the finished weight equipment itself. It's being custom designed and constructed for us and Dave W. tells me that we should be taking delivery of it on January the second week of January.
Between them, Dave and Bill have some serious connections and the guy who's designing this for us is the same guy who's done the last 3 weight rooms at Miami (FL). According to Bill, he saw the amount of space we have and said that he wanted to make ours his "showpiece".

I was hesitant at the idea of a "Football Operations" building, seeing that other projects were in huge need of renovation but this is certainly going to turn out to be a feather in our caps during recruiting, etc.

Glad to see them putting the effort into making this a top notch program.

I'm sure walmart would be very interested to know that Liberty steals their shopping carts.
