I need your opinion

As you all know, I'm a huge advocate of wearing red to games, especially football.
I now have a problem that I need your opinion on.
Recently I came into two old LU football jerseys. I'm not 100% of the era but they were before Coach Karcher I believe. My problem is one is blue, and one is white. If I wear these to the games, I will not be wearing red. Is this a unique exception to wearing red or am I not allowed to wear these to games? I could always hang them in the Liberty room if I don't wear them.

i think next season you should just start wearing blue to the games, its what the team wears, more students already have blue liberty stuff, and then if they ever wear the red alternate jerseys have the red out or whatever, but thats just me

Be like Coach D--NEVER COMPROMISE your principles. Hang them in your Liberty room, but stay true to the RED.

Game worn jerseys trump fan color-coordination.
Otherwise, you'd never see the alternate football/hockey jerseys on game day.
Go with it.

You need to wear red and give those jerseys to a fan who can't attend most games in person.

Now that I see the jerseys I say don't wear either but put them under glass because they have the old blue in them and they won't match the blue that we now use with everything from cheerleader uniforms to Sparky. Baseball still uses that old blue I think though.

They're the old, really long, really thin jerseys. I wore that style in middle school. No matter how skinny you were, the things were tight through the stomach.

I've thought about it, especially if they make red alternates which would look awesome in my opinion.

wrong wrong wrong.
SCAR, ever see those guys wearing the old Cunningham jerseys, both at the Vet and the last couple years at the Link? that kelly (!) green?
I've even seen the REAL old school Jaworski and Montgomery jerseys- white w/ the dark green stripes on the sleeves.
SJ is ahead of the curve wearing the LU old school look- establishing tradition here!
I've got it- give 'em to me, I'll have them hemmed and wear ' em myself

Examples of old school/throwback jerseys

While I agree with Medic on the old school throwback jerseys in Philly, we at Liberty are not quite as established as a team/school/athletic dept as the Beloved Philadelphia Eagles so we need to be consistent at Liberty with the Navy Blue. Most won't know that SJ is wearing a throwback jersey of Liberty. When we see Cunningham's Jersey or Jaworski, we know it is circa 1981 or 1992. Not the same for Liberty.

I will never agree that we should have gone for 2 at W&M. Had I known we would miss 4 of the 5 kicks we attempted, I still would have gone for 1. You can't play desparate football esp in the 3rd quarter of a tight game. If my kickers were both hurt I still would have gone for 1 and sent out a field goal kicking mule (isn't that a movie from back in the day?). How can you start a trend of throw back jerseys when you haven't established the current logos and uniforms yet? It only gets confusing if you ask me.
