The coach used to be one of Mike Minter's assistants at Campbell but spent the 2023 season as head coach at Houston Christian leading to their first ever winning season. He then promptly returned to Buies Creek for this season.

The Camels have a freshman corner named Malik Willis. No joke.

It is tough to project the offensive starters since most of their best players transferred out after this past season.

It’s Liberty Flameday! Excited to see who steps up this year.

Should have gone for it on 4th down. FG attempt was too long to try

So far, I'm not very impressed. The defense stepped up after getting burned, so I'll give them that. Offense looked flat last drive. We should have 7 on every drive when we're playing an FCS team.

Liberty still playing down to their opponent's level, at least so far.

No time to panic or anything but ya just gotta love that Chadwell defense.

The concerning part is that we will absolutely not intercept 21 passes (or whatever the number was) again this year so that’s a whole lot of points that will surely be going on the board this year.

I believe the Virginia Tech coordinators flew from Nashville to Lynchburg, and are calling our plays.

Why can we never seem to just demolish bad teams?

This is hard to watch after watching Boise put up nearly 700 yards on Georgia Southern 😕

Closest lightning strike during the delay was 12 miles away. Meanwhile, there was a 2 mile away strike while the band was playing, but that was totally find. No delay.

The ref who threw that flag should be fired on the spot, and escorted out of stadium. Flag should have been on Campbell

Once again the LU D is going to make or break the season.

That was a stupid play by LU. He’s lucky he didn’t get tossed

Western Kentucky is going to do nothing but practice that pass route this week, and they will light us up if we don't figure something out.

Our defense is not good. Going to have to out score everyone again.

Nah. It's always the refs fault. Ballcoach says so!

I'm not concerned about the offense at all. We are on pace for 500+ yards despite a very vanilla game plan and one of the slowest play tempos in the country. The defense looks like more of the same from last year. Seems like we may have a little more speed but I assume it feels that way because Campbell's a little slower than anyone we played last year.

Be careful of scrutinizing the defense. I did that last year and other people got offended because the team had all those interceptions and therefore equals to a great defensive team. But you are correct, the defense is about the same a last year. If this is what they are showing against an FCS Campbell, it is going to be a nail biting games the entire season.

The unsportsmanlike penalties are totally unacceptable. Chadwell better get that fixed

60 yards worth of penalties in one drive is crazy. I'm curious what the record is.
