Flames @ Sam Houston 2024 will happen at Bowers Stadium in Huntsville

After months of speculation about possibly playing this fall's slate at a nearby HS or college stadium, it looks like LU's game at Sammy will happen on their campus after all.

HUNTSVILLE — After the 2023 football season ended, Sam Houston football faced several questions about the upcoming 2024 season. One of those questions was where the Bearkats might play their home games during construction.
The question was answered during an episode of BSN Xtra that came out Sunday evening. Sam Houston athletic director Bobby Williams announced that the Bearkats will remain home at Elliot T. Bowers Stadium instead of playing elsewhere.
Williams said the decision came after meetings with Sam Houston State University president Dr. Alisa White and SHSU Chief Financial Officer Amanda Withers.
