Got a 4-star DT (6'3" 280 pounds) from Wake Forest with tons of offers from both SEC & Big10 schools. Three more years left.

Someone send the defensive staff a case of Red Bull. They've clearly been busy.

After watching seemingly the entire core of the defense dissipate into thin air last year (via portal and/or eligibility), it's exciting to see so much inbound traffic on that side of the ball. Trying to temper expectations until the newcomers take their first snaps on the mountain, but I love seeing some significant snaps and experience from respectable programs coming into the LB room.. it looks like it should be deep and experienced.

Looks like we were scouting Robby Ashford before the Salter news even broke. I certainly wouldn't mind having him. He's a former 4* dual threat QB out of Auburn with some game experience under his belt and a couple years of eligibility remaining. The last guy that fit the description worked out for us.

How unchristian of this staff to poach players from other teams! They made a commitment to those other teams and now left their wife for someone else!!

I don’t understand. Are you actually upset with LU for accepting transfers?

Looks like we will have more competition at Kicker next year. Hopefully he can make an extra point.
Score one for HCJC's NGU connection. Looks like he was 14/18, including 2/3 from 50+ and a long of 54. He was their kickoff specialist as well, with a TB rate of 33%. That's pretty comparable to Morgan this year, who I think sat around 31% with squibs and whatnot included.

They're supposedly pretty high on the incoming Freshman kicker as well. At the very least, more competition in that room won't hurt.

Coach Korn isn't behaving like a coach that is leaving anytime soon. That post seems to be sending a message to... someone, and I think we know who. Perhaps it's connected to the post a few weeks ago where he called out an anonymous coach for calling and trying to poach players? If we are indeed targeting a QB in the portal, that would seem to indicate that we aren't quite ready to turn the ball over to a redshirt freshman/true freshman (Mooney and Bradford) and we would probably redshirt the latter in his first year. I still believe Bradford is the future. I know Mooney was highly sought after, but in viewing the tape and knowing the level of competition he faced, it seems likely that Bradford is going to take over the reigns at some point in the near future.

I'm a little surprised that we went all the way down to the D2 level for a PK. I took a peek at his game stats and it looks like all 3 of his misses were in the 40-49 yd range. 1 of the 4 misses was a fumbled snap so on actual attempted he was 14/17. Being automatic from 39 and in is good, but I would think we could find someone that could be a little better in the 40-49. Anything beyond 50 in college is a bonus.

With Lee back on board I think our focus needs to turn back toward adding pieces to our defense. Anyone left on that side of the ball we are pursuing?
