I hope the all LU athletes and coaches are taking some time to understand how much joy they are bringing to the fans, supporters and fellow students of Liberty. God has truly blessed, but the hard work and dedication that they have put forth have put LU on a trajectory that few could have imagined only a few short years ago. The success of LU athletics across the board is such a blessing to all that treasure the idea that success can be had doing things the right way. In a cut throat world where cutting corners, sacrificing principals and putting self above God is the norm, these students chose to come and interweave their future with the the mission of Christ. Many detractors will try to disrespect and disparage their efforts and even the Gospel that they represent, but my prayer is that they will continue to have success on the field and as they interact with the competitors and sports fans everywhere as they themselves grow in Christ.
