Crazy night in Huntsville. Kats nearly pick up their 1st ever FBS/CUSA victory in OT but on 4th & inches, FIU squeaks across goal line to force double OT. That true freshman QB for FIU throws a dime on 1st play of 2nd OT and the Panthers break an 8-game CUSA road losing streak with the 33-27 victory over Sam.

I was texting back and forth with one of their alumni who is the house voice for the Houston Texans. He was incredulous that they could possibly have yet another game decided by just a play. Nearly every game but one has been touch & go for them in the 4th quarter. Brutal.

Flip their one score games and they're 3-1 in conference play with wins over Jax State, Liberty, and FIU. They'll be just fine going forward, especially as they build depth and get some new faces on offense.

They are going to have tough go of it in the portal and signing days unless they can score a few wins.
