Malik replaced Ryan Tannehill who was injured and carted off. MW completed 4/5 passes for 76 yards and had several decent scrambles. The low point was the fact that he was sacked 4 times in a short period of time. If RT cannot go next week it looks like Malik may be in line for a start.

Malik had a few starts last year when Tannehill was hurt, and he didn't inspire confidence with his performance, although he was thrown into the fire unexpectedly. That's why they brought in Dobbs to finish the season. They have cited his improvement this year, and he did have some moments in the London game. He needs to learn to get rid of the ball when he's under pressure and there's no receiver open. He took too many sacks.

I believe 4/5 for 76 yards is the best stat line he's had in his short career which is progress but that's been a pretty low bar to clear unfortunately. It's looking like this won't be his last chance to prove himself this season. I just hope he has a breakout game soon because I get a bad feeling his time with the titans will be coming to an end sooner than later and who knows if he'll catch on with another team.

Unfortunately, the Titans offense is in rough shape. Their offensive line is porous, they're lacking in WR targets beyond DHop, and they're struggling to establish anything resembling a rushing threat. It's a tough situation to walk into for a QB who needs some confidence, but their media really gave him props throughout the offseason and I sincerely hope he makes the most of what may be an extended opportunity the rest of this year.

Until he took those sacks in the red zone late, Malik was definitely looking like the more effective QB. Tannehill didn't look seriously hurt on Sunday and I suspect he'll be available this week as well.

The Titans just announced that rookie Will Levis will be the starter and "primary signal caller" against the Falcons this upcoming Sunday. They indicated that Malik would see playing time, but if that's not a vote of no confidence, I don't know what is. I think his agent needs to start looking for a team that develops quarterbacks and runs an offense that takes advantage of his dual-threat abilities.

What a garbage organization. They drafted him as a "project" and then thrust him into a starting roll last year with the worst WR corp ever assembled. They're not much better this year by the looks of it either... and Derrick Henry is not the same as he was either. Hopefully, he books it out-of-town ASAP. The thing that sucks is this upcoming draft is chock-full of talent at the QB position, so is there anyone out there who's going to take a chance on him?

Getting picked by the right team matters.

Maybe he’s just not an NFL caliber QB :dontgetit he got drafted which is a HUGE accomplishment. But lots of players get drafted and don’t make it. No shame. Heck the Redskins TE got drafted as a QB…..and he’s had a pretty solid career after making the switch. Hopefully Malik gets another shot.

Will Levis as a rookie performed better than Tannehill and much better than Malik with the same cast of characters. He completed 65 percent of his passes and threw for more TDs in one game than Tannehill has all season. I like Malik but I think the NFL experiment may be coming to a close.

I don't or haven't ever seen Malik being a QB1, but another team will certainly give him a shot to stick around. While he hasn't proven himself on the field he has proven himself off of it. He is a high character guy and a great teammate with a unique skillset that still plays a roll in an offense that knows how to deploy it. He will be just fine!

Bad fumble? Are you taking about the snap over his head. If so he was lucky to touch it.

There may be a few inquiries prior to trade deadline. Entire Bills executive scouting group attended both Syracuse games. One of them is current Giants GM. As it stands now, Giants don’t have a real back-up available. Having said that, I’d be surprised if TN deals Malik for a late round pick. I think he stays. And wouldn’t be surprised to see him taking situational snaps. Also, TN fans booing a guy for an uncatchable snap is pretty classless.

Setting aside the questions about his future and the on-field struggles, it was nice to see the Titans' stars immediately speak out in his defense after the boos. Levis, Hopkins, Henry, and Simmons all backed him up publicly and told their (seemingly pretty toxic) fanbase to hush. Vrabel spoke in the offseason about how Malik has gained respect in the locker room, and I think those responses were the fruits of that.

Whatever he does and wherever he lands, I wish him well.

Seems it's not going to be Malik they seek offers for, but Tannehill. It's a young man's game and it seems Tannehill will be the odd man out here by season's end. Malik just needs to stay with a team for the next few years. He will keep getting better with more experience and practice and he may find himself somewhere in a starting role eventually. Just look at Tyrod Taylor... he's had a quiet but rather nice career.

Tennessee is a terrible situation for him to thrive as an NFL player. Vrabel tries to force his players to fit his system and not the players’ strengths. He wants Malik to be Tom Brady. Not happening.

I expect Malik to either catch on as a backup for a team that values his versatility. He’ll get another shot eventually. But the Titans experience probably has stunted his growth as an NFL QB.

PS - Let the record show that I still maintain strong disdain for the Adams-Strunk family. They just used Goodell to threaten to sue the University of Houston for using uniforms that paid homage to the Luv Ya Blue colors that the Titans abandoned when they flipped off the city on their way out the door three decades ago. Classy organization.
