They've scaled a lot of things at Football games, but no bigger example has been homecoming. The 50th Anniversary Homecoming, really the whole year's celebration, was surprisingly lame. Even the Homecoming parade is pathetic now. IMO, they need to up their game this fall with those mid-week games, especially that Tuesday night.

Once they implement my south end zone plan ( another row of arches - top of the gate to include massive bell under an arch, with twin towers same height as highest points in stadium that have flame bowls on top ) we could implement an Olympic torch style run from each visiting opponents home stadium gate and time it to arrive in stadium at kickoff. Alumni and online students sign up for a mile ( or however long ) and create local news buzz wherever they run through, with a main team and road crew to run the “ Unassigned miles”. Sounds sketchy, but at G5 level - anything you can do to make news / cool stories that get free local and national tv time - do it. UTEP - might have to have a separate crew start a month early - ha. oh and BTW - great little side gig to raise $ for LU and charities by sponsorship miles - all capped by best opening ceremony in College Football. ( sorry - but when you play worst schedule in football - you need the gimmicks ).

The torch should be lit from the "eternal flame" on Sr's grave. I have been saying that for donkeys years. It is unique, no team does anything like it. We need something that no one else can copy.
Not sure why no one has implemented or liked the idea. :football :football :football
A bald eagle flying into the stadium would be fantastic, but Auburn already does that.

Good enough for me...just give me the rest of it ( south end zone heightened with twin flame towers and Liberty Bell Arch etc. with best intro ) small price to pay in exchange for no P5’s for 5 years...

We definitely need to learn to stick with traditions and return to making our team's entry more ceremoniously. But obviously your run idea has no legs.   No one would do it, especially from El Paso and Los Cruces. UVA & Tech's 12th man student clubs already do this the week of the Commonwealth Cup (visitors run to the home team) and they get absolutely no press, even locally.
