They are going to be a tough win, especially if Salter doesn't play. They have good line play and have had close games with very good teams.

Freeze said he was "hopeful" on Salter and a few others. Not sure what that means in press conference talk, but it sounds better than doubtful. Salter was walking around the sideline a lot last game, which also may not mean much, but at least he didn't have a limp or crutch.

The locals on the ODU message board in Norfolk are concerned about the hurricane-like weather on Saturday. :rainy :fbplayer :rainy

Hurricane Ian could have a significant impact on this game including moving the date of the game or playing under stormy conditions.
Some are even wondering if the game might be moved up to Friday.

I hope that they'll make that decision soon.

A soaker really helps our chances here I think. It plays to our strengths on both sides of the ball.

Looking at the latest Hi-res Euro Wx Model, up to 1.5" of rain may have fallen by the time the game starts. Winds will be gusty too coming off the water. Tracks for Ian are still changing each run, but it's becoming a little more locked in now that we're so close to landfall.

I don't think it's a coincidence that this storm is named after our AD.

If a decision has been made, HCHF hasn't made it public yet.

Edit to add this quote from ASOR:
Salter, Watkins, and Bodden were all back at practice with seemingly no restrictions during the open portion of Tuesday’s practice. It sounds like all three are on pace to participate Saturday.
