That kind of description wouldn't fly in my English class. Your audience wants a NUMBER, ballcoach! Is a "good crowd" a near sell out? Or did you have 10, 50, 100, or a 1,000 in attendance?

It might also mean a well mannered and behaved crowd albeit small in number
