coach said that he met with the new team this week, and emphazied these points for the off-season
1. academic development
2. social development
3. spiritual development
4. getting stronger in the weight room
he also said the bullseye is on LU's chest. we will be the preseason pick to win the conference and we will need to be even better prepared. he said the schedule needs two more dates to finish out the 07 schedule. the opponents are toledo, w&m, presbyterian, glenville state, elon, VMI, coastal, charleston, gardner-webb.
he is so humble too. after he spoke, bob good recognized him as being coach of the year, and having the biggest turnaround in the NCAA, he started to get fidgety at the podium, and wanted to sit down. this guy is just the MAN, and we should be very happy he is our coach. one other stat we only had 8 turnovers all season!! that is pretty good!!!

I wish we could trade off Glenville St for Towson or Richmond. A pretty good schedule, otherwise

I'm ok with GSU as long as there's no SSU. However, this should be the last year we play a DII.

I bet they add SSU in there
someone already posted that Coach likes that game for some reason

We won't be respected as much until we get the DII's and SSU's off of the schedule. One DII or SSU is ok, not both. Even App had one DII this year, but they didn't have SSU.

Adding any of the following from the northeast would be great for recruiting and my travel plans: Villanova, Lehigh, Delaware, Delaware State, Towson.

I know how I'm getting to 3 away games. I'm already working on the other two (Toledo and CSU).

I believe the back half of the home & home w/ Lehigh is 2008 (at Goodman Stadium)
you know I'm there.
'Nova would be cool- Rutgers as well. Don't count out Temple (coaching link there from Rocco's UVa days) and Penn wouldn't be a bad matchup either.

Personally I'd like to see a roadie to San Houston State, Prairie View or TSU for my own selfish reasons. But alas ...

I vote for a trip down south - say anywhere in Florida. A match up against FAU or FIU would be great. Yeah, they're DIA but a weak DIA that would give the Flames a great stage. Plus all you guys could probable use some time in sunny FLA.

Heck Im sure the band would love a trip to FL (well maybe not the folks that will be coming off 2 spring tours in FL with the wind ensemble)

Did anyone else notice the ESPN ticker giving scores yesterday? They used the new "Championship Division (formerly I-AA)" line.

if you caught the App game, they used it ad nauseum. Evidently some memo went out stating to make it PR priority #1
effective though: if you missed it the first time, you may have picked up on it the last 97 times it was mentioned
