I wish I could go to the Ole Miss game. I wanted to see how Matt Corral has developed as a player, I had the opportunity to see him in high school, he went to the same high school I did at Long Beach Polytechnic High School, which is also the same school that Doncel Bolt went to as well. Man I'm showing my age, lol. I was able to come down to the sideline to see him in high school and Corral is pretty good player, he also a Christian kid too. It would've been good to have had Freeze back then, and I wonder if we could've recruited him to LU. Let's get it, Go Flames! #Fanem

Debating about possibly going to the UAB game. My daughter was just offered a full-tuition academic scholarship to Alabama over in Tuscaloosa. I was thinking a campus tour stop timed nicely with the game in Birmingham could be just what is needed. Just need to convince Mrs. Sly.

Actually it was the opposite. I was all “Dang, these people must know something I don’t” Turns out they did. They knew they were playing Texas A and M that weekend :D

Speaking of which, the Aggies hosting the Tide this fall has paid big dividends for our AirBnb cabin that is nearly an hour away from Kyle Field. I love football weekends in the fall.

I hope you guys are scanning AirBnB and not just the hotels. That is so ten years ago.

18 dollar tickets right behind the Liberty bench for Syracuse still available.
We are only 3.5 hours from the Dome.
This is all toooo tempting. It will almost cost more to park. It may be a last minute purchase this coming week as I am very tempted to pull of a day trip. Food will be the only bugger. Well that and driving home at night ...... old man eyes ya know.

For various reasons, I was unable to get my second jab. So trying to be in compliance with their testing protocols with their small window is proving to be difficult for me, when the test that they want is taking up to 3-5 days to get back in Lynchburg and then factoring in travel. Cause you don't want to go all the way up there and not be let in. Of course their testing requirement is difficult on purpose... socialists.

Just curious as to what the window is for the second jab. I understand needing to wait the 3 weeks or so, but it would seem there might be some flexibility after that. Wasn't an issue for me, because my schedule is infinitely flexible. I'm wondering if when I come back to the states for the holidays if anyone who requires proof of vax for admission will accept my little card from the DR, all in Spanish of course.

I took the Moderna jab, so it's 4 weeks in between the 2. But then my daughter and my wife (who's fully vaxxed)got the Rona, probably from school. So due to my health condition, my doctor had me take the Regeneron injections pre-emptively. So now I have to wait another 3 months for the second jab. I've never tested positive, but SU's narrow window along with the backlog in tests in the Lynchburg area are making things a little difficult for me. So I'm exploring options and formulating a plan. Hopefully, it'll work out. Of course, I'm open for suggestions.

My buddy and I are going to the Ole Miss HCHF return game. Absolutely can't wait! Anyone have any good food suggestions around Oxford yet?

Can anybody that already has tickets to the Ole Miss game tell me what section they are in?
I’m looking to make plans to go and just wanted to try have a little bit of red around. I saw several visitor sections but I can’t imagine we will sell that many seats.

I’m going with @bigsmooth but don’t know where we are at. I do know we got them from the LU ticket office

Anyone going to be in Dallas for the UNT game on 10/23?
Looking to organize a tailgate.

I plan on being at both the ULM & UNT games. That 3pm kick at Apogee Stadium makes it easy for me to drive up and back the same day. It is tougher to pull off in Monroe.

Looks like there will be a tailgate already
Still would be good to meet some active posters in person

To be clear, that is for Flames Club members only. Without Bob Good constantly reminding me I have let my membership slip. If everyone is indeed meeting up at the Flames Club tent then I will be sure to get my membership in advance. UNT is not known for its tailgate scene like when we were at Louisiana-Lafayette. ULM has a bit of a better talgate scene according to my friends that direction.

No membership is required for the tailgate. A sea of red stalker :D informed me that it is put on by the FC but open to all LU fans.

All right, the 11am CT game time at Ole Miss now has me intrigued about the possibility of making that game happen.

Haize & Smoothie - I assume you guys are planning on flying into Memphis. DM me your plans and I will see if I can see if I might be able to pull it off coming up from Houston. It is 9.5-hour drive which I would potentially make if Mrs. Sly is along for the roadie. But if it is just me, it is cheaper to fly. I am jealous of SumItUp having three reasonable drives for games this season.
