Is it just me or does it seem like every time Liberty has a great win over a really good team, they lay down the rest of the year and do nothing.

Baylor did it. Old Dominion did it. Heck, IIRC back in the day Youngstown State did it. Looks like VaTech is doing it.

Does losing to Liberty demoralize a team so much that they just write off the rest of the season? Or do we give opponents such a good look at a team's weaknesses that once WE beat them, EVERYONE can beat them?

I am stunned that Pitt is taking VT to the wood shed.
Totally stunned.

What really sucks is this takes away from our SOS and significance of our win over VT.

The year we beat App was the turning point for them. Their record for the rest of that year plus following year was great. It's like we lit a fire under them. I think Georgia St did the same. May have even made a bowl game.

That App State fire was them deciding not to redshirt w bunch of players.

It's like we're Midas but everything we touch turns to crap.

Basketball has done it too. UCLA anyone?
