I am torn between VT and Coastal, but voted for VT. It would be a signature win and would be great for recruiting, especially in state. The season would end on a downer, however.

It’s no question VT. Many of their fans don’t think we belong in the same league with them. That we’re just a little school that will never compete with them. Additionally, a win there guarantees us a Top 25 appearance and helps in recruiting. Huge game all around. Not to mention my in-laws are huge Tech fans so that will be nice lol.

Beating VT would be 10X bigger than beating CCU. Beating NC State would be much bigger than beating CCU.
I think we own 7 wins over Coastal.

I actually picked up a BEAT COASTAL shirt this year and gave another one to Ballcoach. I've got a professor-friend in Conway who has been talking trash since the game was added to our schedule. We grew up on the same street, and we both went to Marshall. Then he went to that cow college in Starkville for his doctorate.

Virginia Tech would by far be the bigger win. They’re the better of the three, they have more prestige than the other two, and they are in our state.

Coastal would be fun, but I’d gladly lose to them if it meant beating Tech.

If we beat VT, I think we go undefeated.

A win over VT would be absolutely huge in recruiting, much more so than NCSU and Coastal.

If you can only beat one, probably will be VT. They’re the least-talented, worse-coached of the three. I mean if you can’t beat them, you don’t deserve to beat the other two noways. Probably pickup a few pity votes in the polls, but ratings may actually go down after that win. Best win on the season will still be Syracuse. I mean, how much is it worth even calling them student-athletes that go to that ol’ Cow College in the Fields of Blacksburg. Isn’t a Hokie just a castrated Turkey? What’s that for bragging’ rights?

As ESPN noted if we run the table we can be the best resume in years outside a P5 for a New Years day bowl. For reference see my last post in the Coastal Carolikna biggest game thread.
If we pull an immaculate run which is improbable but not impossible it will be the Coastal game I want the most.
If we are going to lose 1 or 2 somewhere I would much rather for recruiting purposes smash VPI

I know VT makes the most sense. Big name in-state school and all that. As someone mentioned, we would be 7-0, probably top 20 in the country.

... but I picked Coastal because I don’t want to pick any scenario where we lose to Coastal. Beat Coastal forever.

Have to win the state of Virginia before we can truly build a base for future success. A win over VT gets us moving in that direction with added respect in the region.
