As we get closer to the season (hopefully) kicking off, some pre season awards have started to come in.
9 Flames Named to Phil Steele's Pre-Season All Independent Team

Nothing too surprising here but what your thoughts?

Actually, the selection of Douglas is a bit of a surprise IMHO, considering he only played in 4 games last year in order to preserve his redshirt, and starter DJ Stubbs is returning. It's not that I don't thing DeMario will play a lot and be very productive. I do. Just surprised (and somewhat impressed) that Steele's people would know enough about him to include him. I also think Ralfs Rusins is worthy, but I imagine ND and BYU have some studs at his position.

Steele's previews are normally pretty good but it is a good find by his team. If this season does happened I wouldn't be surprised to see Douglas have a great year.
