Agreed on Todd
Agreed on land.

Clark, totally disagree. Talked to his dad at 2 games. Sat near us. He came here with land for football. Period. He had options but we were the best closest to home and facilities and ability to showcase against p5. They both visited committed and signed within 2 weeks.

Completely disingenuous to compare Todd to the football guys.

Also the funny thing is Todd came here knowing it was a conservative school but wanted to get closer to God. What she didn’t expect was the racism that’s displayed behind closed doors.
You might want to actually read the article. I'd suggest you set aside your hatred of Jr. while you do it as well.

I wonder how many AA student athletes are at LU. I'm thinking @150+. We have AA coaches, assistant coaches, support staff and the like. We had Turner Gill here as head FB coach for years and he has returned recently. We have Richie McKay for a number of years now as well. Somehow those 3 mentioned as leaving due to widespread "racial insensitivities" that some have called a "culture" should be how LU is perceived. I also then wonder why the 150+ AA student athletes, AA coaches, staff, and other AA students remain here and/or continue to enroll and matriculate here and participate in our athletic programs.
I also read on this board a reference to "racism that’s displayed behind closed doors." I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed and cannot definitively assume I know what this means to the author of these words, but I look at closed doors and I can't see anything behind a closed door. I can imagine, guess, or assume what may be behind closed doors but I can never say factually what is behind that door unless I bring my personal bias into that assumption. We should be grateful for the school that gives all students opportunities to participate in sports, whether it be NCAA, Club or intramural, to learn, grow, mature, and develop the character of Christ. I can't think of a better university for those who are in search of such an environment. Just a few thoughts from an observer of the board and an infrequent poster.

You cannot assume just because someone stays enrolled doesn’t mean they don’t experience or see the same Insensitivities. Many will see those things and while they don’t like or appreciate it, they see more good at Liberty that can outweigh those negative experiences. That’s their right. Silence and/or acceptance doesn’t take away the existence of negativities.

In other words, it's not a perfect place or a perfect world, and sometimes you need to take the bad with the good. The idea that those same negatives (other than the silliness of the president, which ultimately does not change their experience one iota) aren't there (and likely more or them) at other universities, is laughable. I suspect the one transfer who I believe was sincerely concerned is soon going to discover that.

With all of the silliness being described/defined as being racist, it does two things. 1. It reduces seriousness of the actual racial acts that do occur. (Think little boy calling wolf all of the time). 2. It gives anyone the ability to cry "racism" over the most stupid things ever ie. plantation shutters, master bedrooms, names of athletic teams, etc. ad naseum. The race card has been played so many times, it doesn't really mean much any more. Especially when reverse racism/hate crimes are totally ignored. IMHO.

You’re right that it is everywhere. There’s a difference though when it comes within your religion. There’s a heavier weight. Most are willing to accept more from secular leaders than Christian leaders.

Barring employment or a place on the board, how can anyone “PUSH” anything “on” Liberty?
