That would put us right on the ultra early return side.

I would trade going to the toilet bowl for a win over BYU.

I would say that if we beat BYU, (very unlikely), we will certainly get a bowl bid.

What’s up with all the negative energy? BYU sucks this season. Either way, I have more confidence in our boys than I do BYU! Far too much doubt. If LU stays healthy and continues to improve, they have a real shot at beating every remaining team, including UVA. That’s all I envision for this team!

Please pass it around, no fair keeping it all for yourself. . :)

Actually - Liberty D isn’t too far off. This week can be a real litmus test - go play complimentary football and put points on the board like we should and dominate - i will feel much better about tougher road games to come. We have zero room for injuries, but if we continue to progress - this team can really be a tough out for anyone on our schedule. Love the team defense, special teams and offense controlling the game even when not scoring. I predict Mack gets 200 yards this week - really think HF will try and run as much clock as possible - especially if we get up 14 early and i think J Mack earned enough trust last week to tailor a game plan around.

I don’t fully understand how all this works, but I do know that we only have one bowl tie in. Getting in to that bowl requires not only our eligibility, but also help from other teams being ineligible. If that doesn’t happen, are there other bowls which we would be eligible for?

I don’t know what negative energy you are talking about... You sound a little like Marianne Williamson.

Our team is a bit of an enigma right now. The defense shows improvement over last year, but the offense is hit or miss.

We have scored (in order) 0, 14, 35, 52, and 17 points in our first five games this year...I would hope that the team from those middle two scores shows up in Provo as opposed to the team from the outside three scores...

There isn’t a bowl that we aren’t eligible for. The Cure Bowl is the only one contractually obligated to take us this year if the right circumstances are triggered.

Well, that isn't true. There are bowls which have ties to two conferences... neither of which we are in.

So your saying we can buy our way in to the Rose Bowl?

We’d still be eligible for those bowls. They’d just be contractually obligated to pick someone other than us. If enough people turned them down, we’d be eligible to step in.

It’s really just semantics.

You would have to have 5-10 teams turn them down! It is more than just semantics.
