Liberty is currently sitting 85th in the RPI with only one FCS team above them. NDS is at 71. Liberty is above several P5 teams: South Carolina, Kansas, Northwestern, Purdue, UCLA, Vandy, Illinois, Oregon State, Rutgers, GT, Arkansas, and Tenn. That's 4 SEC teams, 4 Big 10 teams, 2 Pac 12 teams, 1 Big 12 team, and 1 ACC team. I'd love it if they could keep rising into the to 50 on the RPI. I think that is doable this year.

That RPI is fatally flawed in it's comparison between FCS and FBS. I love rankings as much as the next guy, but beyond the top 10 FCS programs, the gap is MASSIVE. And they over rank the top 10 too.

The only way those rankings hold up is assuming Week 1 games without a schedule full of opponents. Maybe 4 FCS programs would be over .500 against an FBS schedule.
