We start the week off at +11.5 according to ESPN.
Will we win outright? Lose but cover the spread? Or lose by more than 11?

This is really tough. I could see it going either way.
I say we lose by 7 to 10 so I say we lose but cover the spread.
It could get out of hand but I'll choose to be optimistic.

I don’t think we cover unfortunately. Would love to be wrong.

I watched a fair amount of the Louisiana/MSU game. I was impressed with the Cajuns and if they had not turned the ball over so much, they have a chance to win that game.
However, Louisiana gave up 261 rushing yards. Hopefully, our running game gets back on track to get us in more manageable third downs. Nowhere to go but up from 3 for 16. This will help keep the D off the field.
On that note, we should be really excited about the D. I expected us to be better than last year but I did not expect this quick of a turnaround. Think about this, we just held a top 25 team to 368 yards. We gave up almost 800 to UMASS last year. Repeat UMASS.
Regarding the QB situation, I was frustrated with Buckshot’s performance as much as anyone, but the Syracuse front 7 was getting home rushing only 3 or 4 guys. I think more manageable third downs will help but I also think JB will get some series. HCHF has never been afraid to play 2 QBs and I think JB’s mobility will help slow down the rush.
With a big swig of Kool-aid, I predict an outright win.

It was easy to see Buckshot get happy feet and therefore he held on to the ball to long as well. Yet, this was game one and I believe HCHF and Kent Austin about his improvement. Now, whether that translates into game day play we will have to see. Obviously week 1 it did not but it was against a Syracuse defense that some consider elite.
Should be a fun one!

I know they played well against Ms St but 11.5 is a huge number. I’d take that all day.

MSU was without 7 players that were suspended for the game against Louisiana. That likely had some impact on the outcome in week 1.

Looks like I was the only one to win any money this week.
