A Sea Of Red

So I got to thinking today about how UVA compared to Syracuse last year. I was trying to gauge how good they may be. This may give us a good idea.

Same opponent scores:

Pitt beat both
Cuse lost at Pitt 44-37
UVA lost at home 23-13

Louisville lost to both
Cuse won at home 54-23
UVA won at home 27-3

NCST split
Cuse won at home 51-41
UVA lost at NCST 35-21

UNC lost to both
Cuse won at home 40-37
UVA won at home 31-21

So what are yalls thoughts on this? We lost by 21 at UVA and after looking at this I’m confident, at a minimum, that we cover the spread. #drinkingthekoolaid

Covering the spread doesn't mean a thing. All that matters is win or lose. They don't give style points. (or participation trophies)

But we are fans and it's ok for us to have a little fun with this stuff. Lighten up.

We lost by 21 due to that disastrous 4th down call in our own territory. I do believe we still would've lost but it may have only been by 10 to 14 points. For the most part we played well vs UVA last year.

Regardless of Freeze on the sidelines or not this Saturday there is a massive upgrade in coaching from last year to this year. That will help us. A more experienced and more talented team this year will produce results. I have a really hard time believing that we will lose by 18+ unless the wheels fall off due to turnovers.

UVA and Syracuse last year were pretty equal in my opinion. This year, UVA deserves that #22 ranking more than Syracuse from where I sit. Bryce Perkins is their version fo Eric Dungy but more athletic.
