Now that I got you with the headline it's time for some tyndal23 style fantasy talk.

What position does Liberty reign in our first 4* recruit?

According to 247 there are zero 5* dual threat QBs this year and thirteen 4* guys available. There is one 5* pro style with thirteen 4* pro style guys behind him.

Running back is has even less available. with three 5* RBs and twenty one 4*.

Not saying it will be this year or even next, but I imagine we will start seeing offers go towards this style of talent.

No such animal, but since you brought up the subject of specialists, I'm interested to see how our PK situation plays out. We may be the only team in college football with 2 on scholarship. I have a feeling "something's gotta give" there.

I'm going to take a shot and say OL.
Taking it further, I will name the player.
In some ways he is the longest shot of all, because literally EVERYONE wants him. Among his multitude of P5 offers are every team in the SEC except Vanderbilt and Kentucky (who probably don't think they have a chance). Rivals doesn't even show our offer. I only believe it is possible because coach Freeze is a legend at his HS and coached 2 of the best O-Linemen to ever come out of the region

I believe he was a 4 star out of HS, and I think there may be 1 or 2 more like that, but transfers are really a different category. When you talk about signing a 4 star recruit, that is generally considered to mean you signed the kid out of HS, going head to head with the big boys.

Walt Aikens was another in the transfer category. But out of HS or even JUCO is another beast altogether in recruiting.

I do acknowledge that this new world of transfer portals and grad transfers has turned that more into a recruiting situation than in the past.

A DL in 2020. If that doesn't happen then a QB in 2021.

After listening to Freeze I wonder if we find a fallen four star angel for next year.
I think the guy works like a used car salesman .. that's called being a great recruiter.

Well, reading this will now limit my productivity even further heading into signing day next week.

I'm thinking this must be a possible flip. Not a whole lot of reason for holding back if we just got in late on an uncommitted kid.

Per 247sports, the only 4 star TE left unsigned is Hudson Henry who is labeled as hard commit to Arkansas. Stranger things have happened.
